What are we going to learn this year?

Seventh grade social studies is all about the history, geography, economics, and civics of the Eastern Hemisphere. We will study what life was like in different places throughout time, as well as practice the skills necessary for a social scientist and responsible citizen. We will begin the year with Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia and end with the modern trend of globalization.

Eighth grade social studies continues to build on the historical, geographic, economic, and civic skills learned in seventh grade, but does so through the content of the United States. We start the year with the indigenous peoples who first settled in North America and end with the aftermath of the Civil War.

Class Technology

All assignments will be assigned and returned through Schoology. That being said, due dates get pushed back and not every assignment is graded, so please rely on the blog and Infinite Campus for due dates and missing assignments.
